Fall at the Center

Fall has arrived at the Center, and that means a busy time. Get ready to mark your calendar for all the special events coming up.  Sat. Nov. 9 is Community Bingo.  Pork Roast Dinner will be served at 5:00 - 6:30 by Mary Grace and Jake Marshall.  Mon. Nov. 11 the center will be closed in honor of the all the Veteran's.  Fri. Nov. 15 is the last day to order your Pumpkin Pie, only $7.00.  Sat. Nov. 16 is All You Can Eat Soup & Pie Dinner starting at 5:00 pm, only $7.00.There will be a drawing for a 32" Samsung LED TV & a one of a kind "All American Girl" doll. Mon. Nov. 18 the Red Hatter"s have invited the community to participate in an"Ugly Christmas Sweater Party" to be held on Dec. 18  Pot luck will be provided. The Senior Center is also decorating a Christmas Tree to be on display at the Historical Society event.  This tree, along with others will be auctioned off on Sat. Nov. 30.  Proceeds from the Senior Center's tree will be divided between the Center and the Historical Society.  If you have any ornaments that your would like to donate, please bring them to the center on or before the Nov. 18.  Tues. Nov. 19 is the monthly Jam Session with dinner starting at 5:30 - 8:00 pm.  Wed. Nov. 20 the Dichoric jewelry class  starting  at 9:30.  Come and be creative. Fri. Nov. 22 is the monthly Waffle Breakfast/Movie.  You get a great waffle, eggs to order & bacon all for $7.00.  Breakfast is served from 7 to 10 am.  The movie will start at 10 am.  Mon. Nov. 25, be sure to pick up your Pumpkin Pie between the hours of 8 and noon.  Wed. Nov. 27, is the monthly Birthday Bash.  The Center will be closed on Thurs Nov. 28 and Fri. Nov. 29 for Thanksgiving.  Don't forget all the regular daily activities, crafts, exercise, nickle bingo, quilting,crochet and computer class.

Celebrate August

What's Happening at the Center.
JEWELRY CLASSES  How would you like to learn how to make a necklace or earrings out of beads?  Diane will teach you how to put the jewelry together.  Bring your own supplies on Wednesday, Aug. 7th  at 9:00 am.  The regular dicroic class will be on Wednesday, August 14th at 9:30 am.  Come and make a pendant from glass and shinny metallic dicroic.  It will be one of a kind.
FAIR NEWS - Entry forms and money due by September 7th.  Entry items due at the center by September 12th.  Bus to the fair on Senior Day, October 7th, at a small cost of $5.00.
RED HAT Birthday Meeting, August 12 @10:00 am.
BREAKFAST/PEDDLERS FAIR coming August 17th. Come for breakfast and shop the peddlers fair IT'S TIME FOR POT LUCK.  Celebrate "August No Holidays Month" with your favorite casserole or salad on Thursday' August 22, at 11:30.  Ross Branch, Field Representative from Congressman McClintock's office, will be at the center on August 21 from 10 am to noon.   Any Questions ask him.
JAM SESSION for August is Tuesday, August 20th.
CHILI COOK- OFF on October 19th.  Raffle donations will be greatly appreciated.
