DELIGHTFUL DECEMBER

It's the last of 2018 and there are lots of activities at the Center.  Get involved, be a part of this wonderful Community Center.
Fri, Dec. 7, Breakfast with Santa stating at 8am until 11am. Waffles, scrambled eggs & bacon for $7.00/$4.00 for children.
Sat. Dec. 8, Craft Fair at Sierra High Gym. 60 booths, music, food and drawings are available.
           Historical Museum will be open, com view all the lovely decorated Christmas trees
Fri. Dec. 14 Bunco at the center, starting at 9:00 - 11:00 lots of laughs and fun.
Sat. Dec. 15, Breakfast with Santa starting at 8am until 11am.  Waffles, scrambled eggs & bacon for $7.00/$4.00 children
Tues. Dec. 18, Jam Session, grab a bit to eat starting at 5:30 and stay to enjoy an evening of great mountain music. Don't forget the Cowboy Poet.
Wed. Dec. 19, Birthday Bash and potluck(bring your favorite Christmas snack) sponsored by the Red Hatters.  Crazy fun that day.
Fri. Dec 21 & 28 Mexican Train starting at 9:00 am.
Fri. Dec. 21 Annual Christmas Dinner at the Center. Ham, turkey and trimmings. Starting at 5:00.  Tickets are $12.00.  There will be a variety of drawings, so get your tickets for that.  $1.00 each.
Mon. Dec. 24 & Tues Dec. 25 Center will be Closed.  Enjoy your family on this special day.
Artist of the Month is Jeff Scott.  Stop by and enjoy his talent. Anyone who would like to have their art work displayed at the center, please give the center a call.  855-3300.

Monday, Crafts, Low Impact Exercise class and Tai Chi all starting at 9:00
Tues. Nickel Bingo starts at 10:0 - 11:30.  Quilters start at 9:30 -1:00 pm
Wed. Crafts and crochet assistance from 9:00 to 11:00
Thurs. Beginning quilting class at 9:00

Meals for Dec. with a suggested donation of $2.00.  Please call a day in advance to order by 11:30.
Thurs. Dec. 6 Salisbury Steak, baked potato, wheat roll & honeydew; Fri, Dec. 7, Beef & veggie stew over egg noodles, tossed salad w/broccoli, applesauce; Mon. Dec. 10 pork chili Verde, refried beans, tortilla & tropical fruit; Tues, Dec. 11 Mac & Cheese, Calif. mixed veggies, pineapple bits, & chocolate pudding;Wed. Dec. 12, cheeseburger, port & beans & sliced apples; Thurs, Dec. 13 Beef stroganoff,peas & carrots, sourdough bread & cantaloupe; Fri, Dec.14, Chicken Thigh in Mushroom sauce, veggie medley, wheat bread & diced peaches.
Many thanks to all of those who have volunteered, this past year. It means a so much to Center.

Have a wonder Holiday and remember the Sierra Senior and Community Center. The center will be closed Dec. 31 & Jan. 1.  We want you to be a part of this center. Do you know who's Santa favorite coffee drinkers are?  Dasher and Dancer, because they are his star bucks!
The center is collecting Turkey bucks.

Its November!

The holidays are upon us and we hope you have time to enjoy family and friends as you prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The center is filled with activities this month and we hope you can be a part of the team.
Fri. Nov. 9th, Bunco.  starting at 9 am. great time, tasty snacks and awesome people to play with.  Call the center for more information, 855-3300.
Sat. Nov. 10th, Dinner & Bingo.  Dinner is served from 5-6:30 with Brandy's bingo bunch starting at 7:00.
Mon. Nov. 12th Veteran's Day Lunch starting at 11:30.  Call the center for reservations 855-3300.
Mon. Nov. 19th, Dichroic Class at 9:00 - 11:30
Tues. Nov. 20th, Jam Session.  The kitchen crew starts service at 5:30.  Hamburger, chili dogs, drinks,& dessert.  All this and great mountain music, plus our own Cowboy Poet.
Thurs. Nov. 22, Fri. Nov. 23 CENTER CLOSED!
Sat. Nov. 24th, Soup 'N Pie.  The annual soup & pie event, starting at 5:00. Be sure and visit the Decorative Christmas Trees at the Historical Museum before your meal. Sign ups are at the front desk for Soup and Pie.
Mon. Nov. 26th, Wrapping presents for Christmas with Santa events.
Wed. Nov. 28th, Birthday Bash & Potluck at the center.  Come celebrate those Nov. birthdays.
Fri. Nov. 30th, Waffle Breakfast.  The kitchen is open from 8:00 - 10:00 with a great breakfast of 2 eggs to order, bacon and those wonderful waffles.  Great way to start your morning.

Nov. 15 Fettuccine Alfredo w/chicken, french bread, Hi C salad, & diced pears; Fri. Nov. 16, Tuna Salad Sandwich, corn chowder & orange.
Just a reminder the center is a great place to hold special gatherings. Come be a volunteer it's such a good feeling to know you are helping and supporting a good cause.  Without our volunteers, there wouldn't be a center.  Have a great month.
