MAY WILD FLOWERS ARE IN FULL BLOOM

It is a beautiful time of year here in the foothills.  Take advantage of the Senior Center and enjoy the hospitality of the folks and activities. YARD SALE coming June 8.  Country Breakfast for $8.00 and plenty of space on the front lawn for you to bring your items to be sold.  Space is only $10.00, please call the center 
855-3300 to reserve your area.  
Other activities for May are as follows: 
Bingo, Sat, May 4. Beef Stew dinner served at 5:00 - 6:30, with Brandi's crew starting at 7:00.
Wed. May 8, Part B Medicare & Cancer screening 9:30 - 10am
Fri. May 10, Bunco starting at 9:00 am
Mon. May 13, Red Hat Fashion Show at 10:00 bring snacks, show off your thrift store finds.
Wed. May 15, Dicroic Class at 9:00am. Be creative with jewelry. 
Tues. May 21, Jam Session.  Let the Center do the cooking.  Starting at 5 with dinner plus the foothill musicians including our own Cowboy poet completes the evening of wonderful entertainment.
Mon, May 27 CENTER CLOSED in honor of all those who have died while serving in the US Military.
Wed. May 29, Birthday Bash & Potluck. Come and help celebrate those who have had a birthday in the month of May. Bring your favorite potluck dish to share.
Fri. May 31, Waffle breakfast 8am - 10, only $7.00

Tues, Nickel Bingo, Advance quilting starting at 10:00 am; 
Wed.Crafts & Crochet Assistance, starting at 9:00

Fri. card games, starting at 9:00

Fri. May 3, Shredded Beef, rice pilaf, Hi C salad, dinner roll, mixed melon;
Mon, May 6, breaded chicken, drumstick, steamed carrots, wheat bread, Tropical fruit,
Tues, May 7 Pepper steak, mashed potatoes, caesar salad, dinner roll & pineapple bits,
Wed. May 8, Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, Hi C salad, sourdough bread, San Joaquin dessert,
Thurs. May 9, Breaded fish, tossed salad, dinner roll, honeydew, 
Fri, May 10 polish sausage dog pickled beets & sliced apples.  
Remember to keep up your yearly membership. 
Only $20.00 per year per individual $30. per family.
Thrift Store is open throughout the week.

APRIL - A awesome month for beauty in the foothills

April will be a busy month at the Center with interesting and fun events.  We want you to be a part of all the wonderful activities.  
Mark your Calendar: 
Fri. April 5, 19 & 26 Mexican Train - dominoes - starts at 9:00.  Come join the fun. 
Sat. April 6 Bingo, ham dinner starting at 5:00-6:30 pm.  Brandy will start Bingo at 7:00. 
Tues. April 9, Red Hatters Thrift Shop Adventure - note new date. We will meet at the center at 8:30. Lunch at Yosemite Falls on Shaw at oneish. 
Wed. April 10, Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10am.The center could use wrapped candy to fill the plastic eggs and use your help to stuff the eggs on Mon. April 8.
Fri. April 12, Bunco starting at 9:00.  If you are interested come on over.  Lots of laughs and fun.
Sat. April 13, Pie Contest. 1;00 pm.  Be sure and sign up to enter or just bring a pie to share.  Bring pies to the center by noon.
Mon. April 15, Volunteer Luncheon starting at 10 am.  This is a special way for the center to say "Thank You" to all the volunteers.  Be sure and sign up at the front desk.
Tues. April 16, Jam, Great music, and Cowboy Poet. Food available for purchase starting at 5:30.  Eat out, eat at the center.
Wed. April 17, Cal Fire.  Stacey Nolan with Cal Fire and "Smokey Bear" will be here at 9:30.  They will be up dating us on important information.
 Sat. April 20, Lions newspaper collection at the Prather post office. Leo's are selling Krispy Kremes.  Also a delightful Quilt show at the Mormon Church starting at 9:am.
Wed. April 24 Dicroic Class at 8:30 and Birthday Bash.  Come and create a beautiful piece of jewelry and stay for  delicious dessert.
Sat. April 27 Join friends for a Waffle breakfast on Sat, starting at 8am - 10am.  Bacon and 2 eggs cooked your way, plus drinks just $7.00. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Our artists of the Month;  Terri McMeen will display several of her embroidery pieces.  If you know of someone who would like to display their talent, please let the center know. We love to share, 855-3300.

April 10, Spaghetti w/meat sauce, caesar salad, sourdough bread & diced peaches; Thurs. April 11, Cheeseburger, tomato/lettuce/onion, potato salad, & tropical fruit; Fri, April 12, Vegetarian Tostada, beans/cabbage/cilantro;/cheese & sliced apples. Remember to call ahead to reserve your lunch.
