DELIGHTFUL DECEMBER

It's the last of 2018 and there are lots of activities at the Center.  Get involved, be a part of this wonderful Community Center.
Fri, Dec. 7, Breakfast with Santa stating at 8am until 11am. Waffles, scrambled eggs & bacon for $7.00/$4.00 for children.
Sat. Dec. 8, Craft Fair at Sierra High Gym. 60 booths, music, food and drawings are available.
           Historical Museum will be open, com view all the lovely decorated Christmas trees
Fri. Dec. 14 Bunco at the center, starting at 9:00 - 11:00 lots of laughs and fun.
Sat. Dec. 15, Breakfast with Santa starting at 8am until 11am.  Waffles, scrambled eggs & bacon for $7.00/$4.00 children
Tues. Dec. 18, Jam Session, grab a bit to eat starting at 5:30 and stay to enjoy an evening of great mountain music. Don't forget the Cowboy Poet.
Wed. Dec. 19, Birthday Bash and potluck(bring your favorite Christmas snack) sponsored by the Red Hatters.  Crazy fun that day.
Fri. Dec 21 & 28 Mexican Train starting at 9:00 am.
Fri. Dec. 21 Annual Christmas Dinner at the Center. Ham, turkey and trimmings. Starting at 5:00.  Tickets are $12.00.  There will be a variety of drawings, so get your tickets for that.  $1.00 each.
Mon. Dec. 24 & Tues Dec. 25 Center will be Closed.  Enjoy your family on this special day.
Artist of the Month is Jeff Scott.  Stop by and enjoy his talent. Anyone who would like to have their art work displayed at the center, please give the center a call.  855-3300.

Its November!

The holidays are upon us and we hope you have time to enjoy family and friends as you prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The center is filled with activities this month and we hope you can be a part of the team.
Fri. Nov. 9th, Bunco.  starting at 9 am. great time, tasty snacks and awesome people to play with.  Call the center for more information, 855-3300.
Sat. Nov. 10th, Dinner & Bingo.  Dinner is served from 5-6:30 with Brandy's bingo bunch starting at 7:00.
Mon. Nov. 12th Veteran's Day Lunch starting at 11:30.  Call the center for reservations 855-3300.
Mon. Nov. 19th, Dichroic Class at 9:00 - 11:30
Tues. Nov. 20th, Jam Session.  The kitchen crew starts service at 5:30.  Hamburger, chili dogs, drinks,& dessert.  All this and great mountain music, plus our own Cowboy Poet.
Thurs. Nov. 22, Fri. Nov. 23 CENTER CLOSED!
Sat. Nov. 24th, Soup 'N Pie.  The annual soup & pie event, starting at 5:00. Be sure and visit the Decorative Christmas Trees at the Historical Museum before your meal. Sign ups are at the front desk for Soup and Pie.
Mon. Nov. 26th, Wrapping presents for Christmas with Santa events.
Wed. Nov. 28th, Birthday Bash & Potluck at the center.  Come celebrate those Nov. birthdays.
Fri. Nov. 30th, Waffle Breakfast.  The kitchen is open from 8:00 - 10:00 with a great breakfast of 2 eggs to order, bacon and those wonderful waffles.  Great way to start your morning.

All About August

Wow, where did this year go?  Here it is August the 8th month of 2018.  Lets get started.
Thanks everyone who came for the first Saturday Breakfast. Also thank everyone who came to and donated Pies for the pie contest.  What fun and what delicious pies they were.
A representative from Community Bank will be here on Wed. Aug 8 @ 10:00 am to discuss Fraud. This would be the time to learn about the latest scamming techniques and how to report suspicious activities.  Bring cookies.
Another Pizza & Paint along is scheduled for Sept. 22 starting at 9:00 am till noon.  Cost is $40.00 Please call the center, 855-3300 to sign up.  This is a Prepaid class. 
Mark your calendar: 8th Annual Chili Cook off, Oct. 20, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, soda donations needed, entry forms at front desk.  Christmas Boutique, Dec. 8, in the Sierra High Gym on Dec. 8, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Call the center if you would like to reserve a booth for $25.00, set up at 7:00 am..
Every Friday, except Bunco Friday is Pinochle.  Come join the group of players from 9 am - noon.
Sat. Aug 4, Dinner & Bingo, Taco Salad will be served from 5-6:30.
Fri. Aug  10, Bunco starting at 9:00 am Come on over for a fun morning.
Mon. Aug. 13, Red Hatters Thrift Store Fashion parade starting at 10:00 am.  Show off your thrift store purchases.
Tues. Aug. 21 Jam Session, Supper will be served starting at 5:00 -6:30.  The foothill musicians and Cowboy Poet will entertain you till 8:00 pm or after.
Wed. Aug 29, Birthday Bash and Potluck. Bring your favorite dish and join others as they celebrate August birthdays.  Birthday cake and ice cream will be furnished by the center.
Artist of the month is Diane Pratt.  If you would like to display your works, please call the center, or
if you know of anyone in the area who would like to have their items displayed at the center, call 855-3300.  We would love to share the talent of the community.

July is Jumping

Summer has arrived, along with the heat.  Come on over to the Center and cool off.  There are lots of fun things to do and it's always nice and cool.

Friday, July 13 Bunco starting at 9 to 11.  If interested call the center at 855-3300 and let them know.
Tuesday, July 17, Jam Session.  Dinner starting at 5:30 - 6:30 with our local musicians and Cowboy Poet entertaining you till 8:00 pm.  Food is always delicious and dessert is always a surprise.
Sat. July 21, Annual Pie Contest.  Pie bakers bring your pie to the center by noon on Sat.  Pie eaters, all you can eat will be available for $8.00, whole pies for $10.00. 
Wed. July 25, Birthday Bash,and Pot Luck.Come and celebrate the July birthdays.
Sat. July 28, Waffle Breakfast, from 8:00 to 10:00.  Waffle, bacon and eggs cooked to order for just $7.00.  We are trying a new thing by serving a Waffle Breakfast on Sat. for all those working folks.

May Flowers are in bloom

What delightful but brisk weather we are having lately.  Come over to the center and enjoy the warmth and friendship of others.  Here are activities for the month. 
Sat. May 5, Bingo.  this months' dinner is spaghetti with all the trimmings serving from 5:30 till 6:30.  stay for Brandi's bingo.
Wed. May 9 Potluck to visit with the Duffner's who are visiting from Idaho.
Thurs,. May 10, Red Hatters to Roger Rocka, meet at CVS by 4:00 to car pool. 
Fri. May 11, Bunco, if you are interested be sure and call the center.
Wed. May 16, Dichroic jewelry class at 9:00.  $2.00 firing fee and $7.00 for each piece.  Come be creative.
Sat. May 19, Red Hatters to Swedish Day in Kingsburg.  Car Pooling from the center. 
Fri. May 25, Waffle Breakfast. 8 am to 10. am. $7.00
Mon. May 29 Center will be closed in observation of Memorial Day.
Wed. May 30, Birthday Bash - come celebrate all the May birthdays with cake and ice cream.

April, A Beautiful Spring

What a gorgeous day in the Foothills.  What a fun time to be at the center. Come on over and enjoy the many activities offered.
Sat. April 7, Dinner & Bingo - This month the Sierra Women's Service Club will be serving Chili Verde starting at 5 pm - 6:30 pm. Stay and enjoy a fun night of Bingo.
Mon. April 9, Red Hatters Annual Thrift Shop Adventure. Meet at the center by 8:30.
Wed. April 11, Easter Egg Hunt with the preschoolers starting at 10 am. 
Fri, April 13, Bunco at 9:00 am.
Sat. April 14, Quilt Show at Mormon Church.9 am to 2 pm.
Mon. April 16, Volunteer Luncheon, sign up at the front desk
Wed. April 18, Cal Fire with Smokey at 10 am, with information on fire prevention Education

March came in with a blast.  Rain, hail and snow covered the foothills.  More on the way.

Tues, March 20 Jam Session.  Dinner starts at 5:30 with hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot-dogs or a bowl of chili and dessert.  Stay to listen to the local musicians and the Cowboy Poet.
Wed. March 28,  Easter Birthday Bash Potluck and Easter Basket Drawing
Fri, March 30, Waffle Breakfast.  Waffle, eggs to order, bacon and a drink served from 8 to 10:00 am

The Center has free WiFi, sponsored by Ponderosa Telephone Co.  The Computer Lab also has assistance from Sandy Bluffs to help you learn about Window 10.
Visit the center's Thrift Store. Open Mondays & Wednesdays, 2nd Tues and last Friday of the month.
Our artist  of the month is Tony Sharp who teaches at Sierra High school.  If you know of any local artists please let the center know.  A great way to share their talent.
Red Hatters are meeting April 9 for the annual Thrift Shop Adventure and lunch. 
Yard Sale is coming.  Clean out your closets, garages and barns.  Space only $10.00
The Big Fresno Fair theme for this year is "Let's Play" and the dates are Oct. 3-14.

Beautiful February

What great weather we are having in the foothills.  It's time for you to come to The Center and become active with what The Center has to offer.
